About Lakota East Theatre:
Welcome to Lakota East Theatre! Our program is dedicated to sharing the performing arts with our community and showcasing the talents of our students. We provide our students with a well-rounded theatre experience in the classroom and on the stage.
Our mission is to inspire, educate, and empower students with creativity, teamwork, and an appreciation for the performing arts.

High-School Theatre Courses
Theatre
This course is open to freshmen. This course is perfect for everyone, from students who have never stepped on a stage to students who have been doing theatre their whole lives. Students will study improvisation, monologues, and scenes. Students will present projects and performances in class. (Semester, 0.5 Credits).
Theatre Arts
This course is open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Students will explore the design world of technical theatre in this class. They will examine techniques necessary to create specific aspects of a theatre production. Units will include set design and construction, lighting and sound design, and various techniques for costume and prop construction. (Semester, 0.5 Credits)
Acting I
Open to sophomores, juniors, and seniors. Areas of study include movement and vocal techniques, character and script analysis, and the history of the theater. Students will be responsible for classroom presentations, script memorization, and attendance at outside theatrical performances. (Year, 1 Credit)
Acting II/III
These courses are open to juniors or seniors who have taken Acting I and II. Students will advance their theatrical skills and work collaboratively to produce a main-stage production. (Year, 1 Credit)
